A licensed funeral director takes the details, confirms who has legal authority to authorize, and dispatches transport, usually while you are still on the telephone. Nothing is charged and nothing is committed at that point.
You receive an itemized written price covering your specific arrangement. You authorize it, or you do not, and nothing proceeds until you have.
Electronically, from another state or another country if that is where you are. There is no trip to Florida and no office visit.
We file with the county and obtain the medical examiner’s authorization. This stage sets the timeline, not us, and we will tell you honestly where it stands.
Locally, by a certified specialist, with a numbered identification disc accompanying your loved one throughout and recorded at every transfer.
Brought to your door in person by a member of our staff, in a scannable temporary container, with the certified paperwork you will need.
It is the question families most want to ask and most hesitate to. A numbered stainless-steel identification disc accompanies your loved one from the moment they come into our care, through the cremation itself, and into the container returned to you. Identification is verified and recorded at every transfer. You are welcome to ask to see that record at any point, and we would rather you asked than wondered.
When the cremation is complete, a member of our staff brings your loved one back to you in person. Not posted, not couriered, and not left at a counter in an office for somebody to collect during business hours. It is included in the price, and there is no charge for it anywhere we serve.
We do it this way because the alternative is a family signing for a parcel. That is the moment the whole arrangement is remembered by, and handing it to a delivery driver to save an hour of somebody’s time is not a saving worth making.

No casket, no. Florida law does require a rigid, combustible alternative container for the cremation itself, and that container is charged separately from our service fee rather than included in it. We tell you its cost on your written price, and it is a fraction of what a casket costs. Embalming is not required for a direct cremation at all; refrigeration serves the purpose and is included. If you are told a casket or embalming is legally required for a cremation with no viewing, that is not correct, and it is worth asking why it was said.
Florida requires a mandatory waiting period before a cremation may take place, and the medical examiner must authorize it, so most cremations happen within three to seven days of the first call. The variable is how quickly the death certificate is signed by the attending physician and authorized, not anything on our side. We will tell you honestly where your case stands rather than give you a date we cannot keep.

Yes, and most families do. Choosing direct cremation simply separates the cremation from the ceremony, which means the ceremony can be whatever and whenever your family wants: a Mass, a graveside committal after inurnment, a gathering at home next month when everyone can travel. You are not paying us for a room, so you are free to hold it wherever it belongs.
